Hal Gill, Chad Kilger and Wade Belak

I guess that says it all - time to clean house. When you start moving support players because it's the only thing you can do then that tells you how bad things are in Leaf Land.

Hal Gill - A stallwart on D - has been a plus player for the leafs the last 2 years. Took a lot of abuse early on, for the most part it was unjustified. His play this year has been terrific - even with everyone else around him collapsing. With players like Jay Harrison and Andy W - there are to many cheaper options.

Chad Kilger - For a got that was claimed on waivers - he was terrific!! Big hitter and the hardest shot on the team, he was a bargain at $900,000 per year.

Wade Belak - A true good guy on this squad - This one makes the least sense.

Martin Skoula was outed on The Edge

Apparently on the Edge 102.1 - Dean Blundell outed Martin Skoula as the NHL's only gay player. It wasn't quite that simple - but the insinuation was definitely made. Skoula currently plays for the the Minnesota Wild. He could not be reached for comment - not that we tried.

Wozniewski - Just the Beginning...

With Matt Stajan dropping the gloves and the Leafs actually winning a game.

The Leafs are in transition and the impending implosion is going to be fun to watch. Look for names like Kaberle, Kubina, Gill, Ponikarovsky, Tucker, Blake, Wellwood and the Puck Boy to be on there way out of town. Howard Berger had a long conversation with Cliff Fletcher recently and apparently could only report about 5% of what he was told. This leaves us to believe that after Fletcher has done his analysis of the squad and figures out what is what. There are going to be some big moves.
