Zac Brown Band Concert Date and Album Release

New York, NY: On May 12th, GRAMMY-Award winning Zac Brown Band will release ‘WELCOME HOME,’ the band’s new album and their first release on Southern Ground/ Elektra Records. Produced by GRAMMY-Award winning producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell) and In The Arena Productions, and recorded at Southern Ground Nashville studio, ‘WELCOME HOME’ is what the band calls not only a return to their roots, but also a return to 'The Foundation,' the band's debut album that is now 5X platinum.

The theme of reflection is echoed throughout the 10-track album. Songs range from the first single, “My Old Man,” which paints a poignant picture of the ever-changing relationship between fathers and sons to “Two Places at One Time,” about  juggling the conflict between life on the road and the comforts of home, and “Roots,” which honors the band’s journey from their humble beginnings. In addition, the band continues their tradition of recording a cover song they all admire, this time with John Prine's "All The Best."

"This is the most personal album we've ever done and we're very proud of it," said Brown. "Welcome Home."

“Since the first time I saw Zac Brown Band in Atlanta in 2008, they have continued to evolve as incredible songwriters, performers, and record makers,” says Elektra President Gregg Nadel. "They’ve made a brilliant new album that marks a return to the band’s roots, and I am thrilled to 'welcome home' ZBB to the Elektra family."

Pre-orders for ‘WELCOME HOME’ are available today. All pre-orders will include an instant download of the first single "My Old Man”: https://ZacBrownBand.lnk.to/WelcomeHomePR

‘WELCOME HOME’ is the follow-up to ‘JEKYLL + HYDE,’ the three-time GRAMMY-winning multi-platinum artists’ fourth consecutive #1 debut on the Billboard 200 chart. Their 2016 “BLACK OUT THE SUN” tour broke attendance records at Camden’s BB&T Pavilion and Boston's Fenway Park, and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum opened a career-spanning exhibition exploring the group’s rise to fame. All this built on the group’s three platinum-selling albums (‘Uncaged,’ ‘You Get What You Give,’ and ‘JEKYLL + HYDE’), 5x platinum ‘The Foundation,’ their 2013 project ‘The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1,’ 25 million singles and eight million albums sold, and a historic fifteen #1 radio singles, along with the distinction of becoming the second act ever to top both the country and active rock formats. In Canada, the band has had eighteen Top 10 radio singles including six #1’s.

Zac Brown Band kicks off their 40+-date 2017 headlining North American concert tour on May 12th, the same day ‘WELCOME HOME’ is released, with an already sold-out two-night stand in their hometown at Atlanta’s Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park. The band returns to stadiums and amphitheaters nationwide including Hollywood Bowl, Wrigley Field, Coors Field, Gorge Amphitheatre, and Camden’s BB&T Pavilion. The band will also perform at their own Southern Ground Music & Food Festival in Charleston, SC on Saturday and Sunday, May 20th and 21st.

Every online ticket order includes a choice of a physical or digital copy of ‘WELCOME HOME.' Travel packages will be available for select dates.

Defined since its inception by an artist-driven environment, the label has championed a boundary-crossing roster, from the Eagles to Metallica, from Natalie Cole to Missy Elliott. Blue Rodeo Concert Dates - New Album release

Friday, October 28, 2016

Warner Music Canada recording artists Blue Rodeo have today released their 15th studio album, 1000 Arms. Among the album’s 12 tracks is the single “Superstar.”  In support of the album’s release, tickets are now on sale for Blue Rodeo’s 2017 tour.  The band will play 29 concerts in 23 cities, beginning January 11, 2017 in Thunder Bay and each ticket sold includes a album download code for 1000 Arms.  Full album track listing and tour dates listed below.

Buy 1000 Arms: Concert Tickets, CD/LP/Digital or Stream the album HERE (tickets available at 10 am local time).

The video clip for “Superstar” was directed by the band’s longtime collaborator Chris Mills who reimagines Blue Rodeo as a Riot Grrl band.   Watch the video for “Superstar” HERE

1000 Arms was recorded over the winter of 2015/16 at Blue Rodeo’s Woodshed Studios.  The album shares its name with the Jim Cuddy-penned song inspired by a podcast Jim was listening to.

“The podcast was about allowing your community to help you,” says Cuddy.  "When we were going over titles, we were thinking about our musical community, what it means to us and how much we would do for each other. That was what we were thinking about the most, so it seemed like an appropriate title.”

The 12-track record was co-produced and engineered by Tim Vesely, a founding member of the Rheostatics.  Jim and his longtime bandmate Greg Keelor credit Vesely with helping influence the sound of the new album. The engineer had been listening to some of the band’s older records and commented that Jim and Greg weren’t singing together as much as they used to.  The revelation caught the band off guard but the result brought the band back to what has always been one of their strengths.

“We made a very concerted effort to sing together on this album, either with direct harmonies or call and response, and we really enjoyed that,” says Cuddy.

In the thirty years since forming, Blue Rodeo have sold over 4 million albums, won countless Juno awards, been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, received a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame, been named to the Order of Canada and have been honoured with the Governor General’s  Performing Arts Award.
